There are so many lovely places to stay in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Admittedly, there are a few of them that would be delighted to enjoy a stay in ourselves too. Yet the place we really prefer to be is the Marten. Here, where the valley practically ends, and your time-out begins. Superbly connected with nature between forests and pastures.
An energy-filled space between the mountain and the valley. In a somewhat sublime and tranquil location, without many neighbours and yet in spite of that, very well connected. On the sunny side of Glemmtal, right at the ski piste. That’s where you’ll find us. Your home for a time. With lots of favourite places, authentic people and precious encounters. How lovely that you found us.
To us, simple doesn’t mean having fewer aspirations, or having to do without. To us, simple is an authentic, genuine and honest attitude to life.
A focus on what is precious, scaled back to the fundamental. That’s what we’re about, that moves us. To us, that creates the perfect balance - being able to make a difference in the here and now. In line with this very philosophy, in summer 2024, together with many helping hands, we have made many kinds of moves here in the Marten, have thought a great deal about the future and new things have come about from long-cherished dreams. We would like to share all of that with you and would be delighted if you fancied spending a few days with us in the Hotel Marten in Hinterglemm.
Juliane, Anna, Marlies. Your hosts in the Marten
For Juliane, Anna and Marlies the Marten is of course much more than just a place to stay in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Marten is a place of values and history. With traditions that are alive and well, and new ideas. A place to be. All three of them are simply right at home here. The place where their roots lie. This is where the cross-generational Feiersinger family apply their work in a dependable manner. Where things are philosophised upon and discussed with one another. Where they look out for one another, lend a helping hand and simply love each other, taking the rough with the smooth. A proper home if you will.
Where the valley almost ends, your time-out begins. Past Saalbach Hinterglemm. Past the hustle and bustle of the village. Here you will find us. A place to be.
